Meet Rebecca

Welcome to Healthy Gut Kitchen! I’m Rebecca Traylen, an Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with a BSc in Biology from the University of Nottingham and a Masters in Nutrition from the University of Surrey.  My areas of specialism are gut health and women’s health, with a focus on hormones, fertility, and pregnancy.

 

I'm passionate and dedicated to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals by providing personalised dietary, lifestyle and supplement guidance to support a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Healthy Gut Kitchen was born out of my passion for gut healthy cooking that is accessible to everyone that both does good, and tastes good. This is achieved through my healthy recipes, educational content and 1-1 nutrition consultations.

My Story

My journey into nutrition began during my university years when I was rowing 12 times a week alongside my studies. Constant fatigue, regular illnesses, and difficulty concentrating led me to examine my diet and lifestyle.

 

I discovered the gut microbiome's significant impact on my health issues, such as fatigue, asthma, eczema, hayfever, and stress-related digestive problems. This revelation sparked my passion for gut health and led me to pursue a Masters in Human Nutrition at the University of Surrey.

Since then, I've started Healthy Gut Kitchen to inspire others to make small changes in their diet, lifestyle, and mindset to nurture their gut health. By focusing on gut health, I've seen significant improvements in my own energy levels, digestion, stress management, and even my eczema and asthma. I believe that taking care of your gut is key to overall health and well-being.
