Overnight Oats: A breakfast staple

Use this as a guide to make the base of the overnight oats and then experiment with different flavours!
Ingredients:
Serves 1
1/3 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 cup milk of your choice (such as almond milk, coconut milk, or dairy milk)
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional, for sweetness)
Toppings of your choice (such as fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, nut butter, or shredded coconut)
Instructions:
In a small bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, milk and maple syrup or honey (if using). Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
Cover the bowl or jar and refrigerate the mixture overnight, or for at least 4 hours. During this time, the oats and chia seeds will absorb the liquid and soften to create a creamy and delicious texture.
In the morning, give the overnight oats a good stir to mix everything together. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
Transfer the overnight oats to a serving bowl or enjoy them directly from the jar.
Add your favourite toppings to the overnight oats, such as fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, nut butter, or shredded coconut. Get creative and customise your oats to suit your taste preferences!
